I have lived in Georgia for about 30 years now and have been in Cobb County for most of that time. I graduated high school from Harrison and attended Kennesaw State University for both my undergraduate and graduate programs. I have degrees in Art Education as well as Educational Leadership. I have always loved art and have a unique perspective for an art teacher being someone that is very mathematical. I met my husband in middle school but we didn't find each other again until much later. We were married on May 31st, 2015 and enjoyed a honeymoon in Maine (AWESOME!!!). Later that summer we went to Chicago- one of my all time favorite cities- pictured here. My husband teaches as well so the summers are a great time for us to explore. We both love the outdoors too!
my family
We were blessed in May of 2016 with a precious baby boy! He is growing fast and we are grateful every day for this amazing boy! Our son enjoys being outside and sleeping and eating! We will discover more of his likes and dislikes as he continues to grow and learn.
my experience
In terms of art I have a strength in drawing, but find myself doing more painting. I also like to experiment with media and learn new things. I have most recently been experimenting with multi-media works and photography. I will continue to learn and try new techniques as this is where my passions are... I also believe in teaching our children to become advocates for the arts and have faith in their artist inside of them. I have a fondness for trees as I feel they show strength and are a symbol for family and growth.
